Because of the unlimited potential of making experiences tailored for specific groups of people, not one world for everyone.For those years I've been wondering why video games I find less attractive, less pleasant and needlessly violent or realistic are the ones prepared for the most ambitious hardware.Smartphones aren't for gaming and laptops aren't for gaming either in my opinion. Immersion is good, nice graphics are good and cutting-edge specs are great. Desktop PC, workstation, VR or the newest non-handheld console seem to make the most sense to me. Large TV or double high-res screens in VR.But the more colorful, wonderful, beautiful, pretty, attractive, sexy or at least neutral games tend to target Nintendo Switch, smartphones, low-end or maybe mid-range laptops, etc. Pokemon games for example in 2000 with Pokemon Crystal were like 1990 games for the NES. Later, the more fantastic, otherworldly, anime and cute games tended to target Game Boy Advance, PSP, PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, 3Ds, later also smartphones.
